Jack Duggan’s Receives 2018 “Faces of Diversity” Award from PA Restaurant & Lodging Association

PHILADELPHIA — October 23, 2018 — Jack Duggan’s Irish Pub, located at the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), is proud to announce that is has received the 2018 Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association’s (PR&LA) “Faces of Diversity” award. The award recognizes restaurants that positively impact their local communities by creating opportunities for employees from diverse backgrounds.

Jack Duggan’s, a family business founded in 2002, has been recognized for its commitment to meaningful diversity in the past: in 2016, the restaurant was selected to receive the Airport Minority Advisory Council’s (AMAC) Strategic Partner Award, which honors an AMAC corporation that has demonstrated diversity inclusion within its corporate structure of procurement and employment.¹

“Our restaurant, which has operated at PHL for over 15 years, has long endeavored to hire, train, and develop employees with a wide range of backgrounds and skillsets,” said Erin Hurley Zwiercan, Founder, Jack Duggan’s. “Because of its size and history, Philadelphia is one of the most multicultural cities in the United States. Other restaurants recognized include Reba & Pancho’s (Lewisburg, PA) and Don Juan Mex Grill (Allentown, PA). All three restaurants were honored and awarded a plaque at PR&LA’s Fall Dinner on October 22, 2018.
